Mr. Onayele, a seasoned administrator and communication expert, was born on 31st December, 1964. He attended Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo from 1984 to 1988 where he graduated with Bachelor Degree of Arts in English. Thereafter, he attended University of Lagos, for his Masters Degree in English. He started his working career in Lagos State Polytechnic as Lecturer II and later joined the Lagos State Civil Service in 1997 as an Administrative Officer. Mr. Onayele worked in various capacities as an Administrator, some of which include Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Youth; Sports and Social Development; Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pension and other various public establishments.
Mr. Onayele is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Nigeria Institute for Training and Development (NITAD), a Professional Fellow of Institute of Information Management among others. He assumed the position of pioneer Bureau Secretary of Lagos State Records and Archives Bureau in August 2008. He has three published works to his credit: ‘Modern Business Correspondence’, ‘Contemporary English Usage’ and ‘Communication in English for professionals’.
He was serving in acting capacity before his appointment was confirmed by His Excellency, the former Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) as Director General of Lagos State Records and Archives Bureau with effect from November 20th, 2014.
